Computer Training Certificate Handover at Bajawa Detention Center, East Nusa Tenggara

After five months of training every Monday and Wednesday, 10 out of 13 Correctional Prisoners (WBP) successfully completed a computer course. The training was led by Mr. Reinhard Marthen, S.Th., M.Pd., Coordinator of the Pondok Kasih East Nusa Tenggara Zone. Certificates were handed out at the Bajawa Class II B Detention Center on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Three participants could not finish the program: one was released, and two were transferred to Waikabubak Correctional Facility. The certificate ceremony was attended by the Detention Center Head, Development Subdivision Head, Management Subdivision Head, and Security Head. This initiative is overseen by Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights, as only two registered computer training programs exist under its supervision, one being the program run by Pondok Kasih in Bajawa.

The Pondok Kasih Foundation expressed gratitude to God and appreciation for the trust given by the Detention Center. They hope the skills gained will help participants secure better jobs after their release. (MH).
