Thirty years ago, I felt called to serve the poor. At that time, I saw how desperate life was for homeless people living in slums under bridges, along railroad tracks, by rivers, and on garbage piles. I realized they were precious in God’s eyes, and if I truly loved God, I needed to love them too. What began with helping a single beggar has grown into something far beyond what I ever imagined, impacting lives nationally and internationally. In 1991, we founded Yayasan Pondok Kasih as an act of devotion to God, spreading love to those in need.
